Shared Service Center_ SSC
ArabyAds has established a Finance and Shared Service Function based in Cairo catering for all ArabyAds Global Markets with the following scope: Accounting, Purchase to Pay, Treasury, Taxes, Billings, Credit Control, Payroll, Statutory Reporting, Compliance.
The Role
Overview: As the Corporate Regional Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related matters within our organization across multiple regions. You will develop and implement tax strategies to ensure compliance with local and international tax laws while optimizing our tax position. Additionally, you will provide guidance and support to our regional finance teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Strategy Development: Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. This includes identifying opportunities for tax optimization and risk mitigation.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations in the regions where the company operates. This includes preparing and filing tax returns, as well as monitoring changes in tax legislation.
- Tax Planning: Conduct thorough analysis to identify tax planning opportunities that minimize the company's tax liabilities while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Transfer Pricing: Oversee transfer pricing policies and documentation to ensure compliance with local regulations and alignment with the company's global transfer pricing strategy.
- Tax Audits and Disputes: Manage tax audits and disputes with tax authorities, including responding to inquiries, providing documentation, and negotiating settlements when necessary.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with finance, legal, and other departments to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions and transactions.
- Tax Risk Management: Identify and assess tax risks associated with business activities and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Manage External Tax Partners: Lead and develop relationship and review all deliverables prepared by External Tax Partners across all markets.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. Master's degree or CPA/CA qualification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate taxation, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role overseeing tax operations across multiple markets.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of local and international tax laws and regulations. Experience with transfer pricing, tax planning, and tax compliance.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex tax issues and develop strategic solutions.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
- Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions to tax-related challenges.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
