As our Legal Counselor, you are expected to oversee the legal aspects of our business and to ensure high level of legal conformity, as well as provide strategic guidance, consultation, and support
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
-Provide accurate, relevant and timely advice on a variety of legal topics that relate to the business sector and their products or services.
-Draft, review and negotiate various commercial contracts and agreements.
-Manage and mitigate legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures.
-Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to the business.
-Promote legal, compliance and risk management best practice throughout the company.
-Communicate with and manage any third-party bodies such as external counsel or auditors.
-Design and deliver legal training to the business.
-Stay up-to-date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules and regulations
-Liaise with senior members of staff.
Required Skills and Specifications:
-Proven experience as an In-house Legal Counsel in business environment from 3-5 years
-Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures
-Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information
-Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships across the business.
-Ability to work in a highly autonomous role.
